Our History

Ears Inc. was officially recognised as an Australian, non-government, not-for-profit organisation in December 1998. Founded by David Pither and Peter Bartlett, the idea to start the organisation came about during a short term mission trip to Surigao City, Philippines. David, having spent the previous decade travelling to developing nations was joined by Peter in recognising the possibilities of utilising Australian resources and expertise to train and equip local health workers in developing countries, providing them with the necessary skills to rehabilitate people with hearing loss.
